Nic & His Hip Shots

This is a little series of videos I shot for the band: “Nick and his hipshots” shot in a restaurant/ bar in sydney in 2023. The idea was to capture the atmosphere of the night and have some fun with unique angles to make it all come together as promo footage for the band on socials and for their next gigs!

I ended up using a combination of a Pocket 4K and Zeiss 16mm Super speeds to capture the night taking advantage of the smaller sensor on the camera. I had a 50mm, 16mm, 12mm and 8mm I could play with to make it all work which I think came out really well.

To seal the look I used a combiantion of Glimmer Glass, Kaledioscope and Liner Prisim filters and then a 4500K whitebalance to even out the crazy amount of practical and venue lighting that defiently made the colour kind of crazy!
